At FBC, to make the most of church life, we encourage everyone to attend a small group. We have a number of small groups that meet at varying different times. Please speak to Tim Gerry or contact us if you would like further information about Small Groups@FBC.
Every first Saturday in the month the men from FBC and other churches in the Faringdon area gather in the hall at Bromsgrove chapel for a sumptuous cooked breakfast and a talk. The speakers we have vary from guest speakers to organisations outside FBC or are members of the group itself. Previous topics have ranged from pottery and evangelism to holidays of a lifetime Please speak to Martin Spackman or contact us if you would like further information.
Every third Friday evening of the month, the women of the church gather at the Chapel in Bromsgrove for praise and ministry focussed around a theme. These times are usually open-ended times of prayer and praise with a particular emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit. They usually end with a nice cuppa and lovely cakes! Please speak to Sharon Gerry or contact us if you would like further information about women's worship.
Here at FBC, we have a number of links to missions work overseas. Below are just a few examples of those with whom we have regular contact.
For the past seven years or so, our church has always taken a group of people to Dezna, Romania to run various activities in a church there.
We have been supporting the work of local Christians in the South Punjab region of Pakistan for the past three years. Currently there is a church and a school on the site where they meet. Our support funds a Pastor and a School teacher. The money we give goes to the salaries of the pastor and teacher as well as to provide resources for the children who attend. They have close 70 children in the school (when they're all there!) and in recent years, one family has come to know Jesus.
The church support Matt and Liz who are literacy workers with Wycliffe Bible Translators. You can find out more by visiting their website: http://wisbeys.blogspot.com which details their work and contains many updates about their work.
