Introduction
There has been a Baptist Church in Faringdon for 350 years. In recent times the Sunday morning congregation has grown to the point where our building in Bromsgrove was no longer suitable for our Morning Service and Junior Church. Therefore, in September 1998 we began to meet on Sunday mornings at the Community College. Our growth continued and in November 2003 we moved our Sunday morning service to the Junior School in Gloucester Street which has enabled us to have better facilities for children and youth work. |

What is Church?
The Church is made up of ordinary people who have come to know God in a living way through faith in Jesus Christ. Through Christ we have found the forgiveness, life and hope that are the gifts of God to all who will receive them. |

Children
Children and young people are an important part of our church life. The Junior Church of some 50 children and teenagers are involved in the beginning of the Morning Service before having their own time in small groups. |
Music and Singing
Music and singing have always played a prominent part in Christian Worship. The services at our Church use a mix of some traditional hymns and a good many newer Christian songs. We have a couple of teams, made up of members of our congregation, who lead the music and singing every week. |

The Bible
The Bible provides the basis for our beliefs and activities as a church. It is understood to be the truth about God and mankind that is relevant for today. During the services a talk is given that applies its teaching to present day life. |
