We are a community of people who are seeking to follow Jesus together and to share His life transforming love and power with those around us.
In order to describe Faringdon Baptist Church, one would have to start, not by talking about where the building is or how many people attend Services on a Sunday, but by mentioning something that’s going on outside of the Services and on a day other than a Sunday - for the heartbeat of this church community is found in diverse activities, in small groups and in our places of work all around the area.
This is because we are convinced that God is interested in everyone, and that the teachings of Jesus are vital and relevant to people of all ages and circumstances, at all times on any day of the week.
And that’s the point of church: To demonstrate God’s priorities, His incredible interest and compassion for everyone, through the way we engage with those around us – near or far: Which is exactly what Jesus did.
The hub of our week is Sunday. We meet as a family. There’s music, teaching, prayer, some great activities for kids and young people and of course, coffee.
Most of us meet in small groups where we work out the details of following Jesus and find ways to serve the community around us.
We are on a journey of discovery, of serving and of sharing.
