Our Vision

At Faringdon Baptist Church our aim is:

To grow in relationship with God, in witness, service, and numerically.

To glorify God and hold out to our community the hope that is in Jesus.

We seek to be a church that:

Has the Lord Jesus Christ at the centre of all we do.

Is a community that welcomes and befriends all people.

Provides services which help people to worship God.

Offers good quality, Bible based, and personally relevant teaching.

Provides fellowship, pastoral care and support.

Provides nurturing and mentoring to help us grow in our faith, Godly character, and Christian lifestyle.

Is active, known, and valued for being relevant and making a difference within the local community, including the new developments and the surrounding villages.

Is active and creative in sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ including working with other Churches and Christians within the Community.

Is prayerful – providing times of corporate prayer and encouraging prayer in other ways.

Holds an orthodox view of marriage, sexuality and gender.
